| Region: GENERAL RULE |
| - - - | When registering your birds with a vet, please check first the vet has previously cared for birds, insist in knowing how many birds are registered with them (and not just for trimming a beak), reasons: 'having an interest in avian medicine' is not the same as experience in caring for birds. There are not many avian vets in the UK, except for Forbes I don't know any others. What counts is the experience in treating birds, especially with any 'behaviour' problems such as plucking and when the bird seems to have developed breathing problems. | | |
